With a 26.7% unemployment rate in South Africa and rising living costs, unemployed job seekers often feel the mobile data pinch when looking for a job. Vodacom's new deal may alleviate the pressures experienced by those who struggle to afford internet costs.
Often unemployed job seekers cite limited or no access to Internet which they want to use to apply for jobs. With no money for internet cafés or to buy data, sending out a CV becomes an expense they cannot incur.
Vodacom has introduced a free-to-browse career website called NXT LVL (pronounced next level) to help people look for jobs.
"With Vodacom NXT LVL you can search for the best jobs, apply online and even do follow ups on your applications, all without worrying about using up your data," the service provider states on their website.
Customers using the network (and who have the simcard in their phones) can use this deal by visiting Vodacom.co.za and clicking on any of the career websites featured.
These are Careerjet, Careers24, Job Mail, Pnet, Giraffe, Career Junction, SA learnership and Indeed.
