Gail Mabalane's Pregnancy Weightloss Challenge

The actress gave birth to a bouncing baby boy last month and she's now focused on losing the weight she gained during her pregnancy.

Mabalane recently revealed on Instagram that about six weeks after giving birth, she's ready to tackle the weight she's gained.

"And so the journey begins. After gaining 18kgs during pregnancy (again), the fight begins to being the best version of myself," she wrote.

She said her husband, Kabelo Mabalane, challenged her to a 100 day squat and kettlebell challenge.

In a recent interview with Living and Loving magazine, Gail said she would not pressure herself to quickly lose her weight after having her first child in 2014.

"I decided that it took me nine months to put the weight on, so I’m going to give myself at least nine months to lose it. The secret was not to put myself under any pressure (being a new mom is challenging enough), but to make the best food choices I can and stay as active as I could," she said.

It seems she may employ the same mindset of keeping active the second time around as she has committed to doing squats and kettlebell exercises for 100 days.
